Enable Spam Filtering
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap Messages → Unknown & Spam.
- Turn on Filter Unknown Senders.
- Under SMS Filtering, choose SpamSlayer.
Once enabled, Messages automatically routes suspicious SMS to the Junk tab so personal conversations stay front and center.
Manage Blocked Keywords
SpamSlayer blocks any SMS containing the keywords you add, regardless of casing or punctuation.
- Tap Keywords in the home tab.
- Use the + button to add a keyword and choose how matching messages should be labeled (Junk, Promotional, Transactional).
- Swipe left on an entry to remove it when it is no longer needed.

Block Senders & Prefixes
Block entire senders, company names, or international prefixes. SpamSlayer compares entries in a case-insensitive way while preserving the format you provide.
- Tap Senders on the home tab.
- Add full numbers, partial prefixes such as “+90850”, or alphanumeric sender IDs like “SPAM-BANK”.
- Choose how matching messages should be categorized for faster triage.
Examples of what gets blocked:

- SPAM-BANK
- spam-bank
- Spam-Bank
- SpAm-BaNk
Entry: “+90850”
- +90850123456
- +90850999888
- Any sender starting with +90850
Smart Filtering Tips
- Keep entries concise—use short, unique keywords or prefixes for broader coverage.
- Review the Junk tab occasionally to confirm legitimate messages were not misclassified.
- Use Promotional or Transactional labels to align with Apple’s filtering categories and speed up triage.
App Specifications
Runs fully on-device using Apple’s IdentityLookup framework and SwiftData.
Stores blocked keywords and senders securely in SwiftData, preserving your original formatting.
SpamSlayer never uploads message content, sender lists, or analytics to external servers.
Matching is always case-insensitive while the interface displays the exact text you entered.
Requires iOS 17 or later with the SMS Filter extension enabled in Settings.
